PREPARATORY COURSE IN BIOLOGY IN ENGLISH

The Academy of Silesia offers an intensive preparatory course in Biology designed to help prospective medical students revise and consolidate key knowledge from secondary school and bridge any curriculum gaps. The course is ideal for candidates planning to study medicine, nursing, emergency medical services, or physiotherapy, as well as for our current students who wish to strengthen their understanding of the subject.

Course Objectives


The course provides a comprehensive review of essential biology topics. It aims to reinforce and expand students’ existing knowledge and prepare them for the academic challenges of medical studies.

  • Cell biology
  • The cell cycle
  • Chemical components of cells
  • Biochemical cycles
  • Molecular genetics
  • Inheritance and genetic traits
  • Selected topics in plant biology and ecology

General Information

Place of study: Zabrze

Form: hybrid hybrid (September: Online sessions, October: On-campus sessions)

Duration: 1 month (30 teaching hours) 

Term: 1st of September – 3rd of October 2025 (2 times a week – Monday and Friday for 3 hours (45 minutes) each day; start: 5:15 p.m.

The course will be launched once 13 candidates confirm their participation.

Target Audience

The course is intended for high school graduates planning to begin studies in the medical sciences who seek a thorough review of biology before starting their university education, as well as for our current students who wish to deepen their knowledge in the subject.
