INTERIOR DESIGN – FIRST-CYCLE STUDIES

The admission process for studies conducted in English for the winter semester of the 2026/2027 academic year will start on 28 April 2026.

FORM OF STUDIES:
- full-time studies - classes are held from Monday to Friday.
- part-time studies - classes are held on weekends and occasionally on Friday afternoons (with the use of distance learning methods).
For both full-time and part-time programs, classes take place on campus in university teaching facilities, including lecture halls, classrooms, and laboratories. The curriculum also includes selected courses delivered using distance learning methods and techniques. These classes are included in the timetable and are conducted in a synchronous format via the university’s educational platform.
FIELD DESCRIPTION
Interior Design is a field that combines artistic skills with technical knowledge, enabling the conscious shaping of space. The educational curriculum includes subjects that develop both aesthetic sensitivity and technical proficiency. The profession of an interior architect involves designing residential, public, and specialized spaces – from concept to implementation.
RECOMMENDED PREDISPOSITIONS TO COMMENCE STUDIES
Candidates for the program should demonstrate both artistic sensitivity and technical aptitude. Individuals planning to study Interior Architecture should also show creativity and the ability to think outside the box, which will enable them to design aesthetic and functional spaces. Other important qualities include spatial imagination, manual dexterity, and openness to new technologies and innovative solutions.

PROFESSIONAL INTERNSHIPS
Student internships are mandatory and take place in the following stages:
- After the 2nd semester – open-air artistic workshops (1 week)
- After the 2nd semester – construction and inventory internship (4 weeks)
- After the 2nd semester – design internship (8 weeks)
- After the 4th semester – design internship (12 weeks)
GRADUATE PROFILE
Graduates of first-cycle studies are prepared for creative work in designing and arranging various types of spaces – including residential, commercial, service, and public interiors. They possess the skills necessary to consciously shape interior spaces, taking into account functionality, aesthetics, and ergonomics, as well as knowledge of composition, color theory, and lighting. Their technical education enables them to consider construction, installation, and material solutions, which facilitates effective cooperation with professionals from other engineering disciplines.
