The Academy of Silesia cordially invites you to visit the exhibition “Into the Light / W światło”, dedicated to one of the most universal and inspiring motifs in art: light.
The exhibition explores the theme of light in two dimensions - lux and lumen - bringing together a variety of media and artistic approaches, from abstract and figurative painting, through photography, to objects and animation. It creates a space for contemplation, focus, and experiencing art as a medium of beauty and reflection on existence.
The central element of the exhibition is the unique “Veil of Light” by Berenika Kowalska-Dybko - a monumental abstract painted panorama with a diameter of 5 metres. It is accompanied by works by, among others, Zygmunt Stenwak (photography), as well as paintings by Dariusz Milczarek and Ela Pamuła. A separate section presents artworks interpreting light as timeless lux, including premiere works created specifically for this exhibition.
We are especially pleased to announce that one of the participating artists is Renata Szułczyńska, a lecturer at the Academy of Silesia, whose works are presented in the section dedicated to abstraction and objects.
Venue: IMO Gallery, ul. Kopernika 1, 33-340 Stary Sącz, Poland
Exhibition period: 11 April - 21 June 2026
The exhibition “Into the Light / W światło” offers a unique opportunity to experience art as an immersive journey through space, light, colour, and emotion - particularly resonant with the springtime of nature’s renewal.
We warmly invite you to visit the exhibition.
