MECHATRONICS - II CYCLE STUDIES
CANDIDATE WITH A FOREIGN DIPLOMA - GRADUATES OF THE MECHATRONICS PROGRAM
Candidates in the recruitment procedure are accepted:
- based on a first-degree diploma in Mechatronics (Bachelor of Engineering).
Things to prepare before setting up an account on the recruitment portal:
- Scan of a document entitling the holder to apply for admission to II cycle studies,
- original foreign diploma or another university graduation document giving the opportunity to start second-cycle studies in the country where it was issued or a copy of the diploma of higher education prepared by the Polish university that issued the diploma authorizing to undertake second-cycle studies,
- original diploma Supplement or Assessment Transcript.
- Scan of the apostille or legalization of the document entitling the holder to apply for admission to II cycle studies,
- apostille is a certification that a document comes from an appropriate office - it determines authenticity. Thanks to this, you can use the document abroad. An apostille is applicable if the document is to be used abroad in a country that is party to the Hague Convention from 1961 on Abolishing the Requirement of Legalization for Foreign Public Documents.
- legalization is required if a document is to be used in a country that is not a party to the Hague Convention of 1961 on Abolishing the Requirement of Legalization for Foreign Public Documents.
- Scan of a sworn translation of the document entitling the holder to apply for admission to II cycle studies bearing apostille / with legalization,
- documents issued abroad that bear an apostille or have been legalized in the country of issuance must be translated into Polish or English by a sworn translator or the translation must be certified by a Polish consul. If the document is translated into English, a sworn translation into Polish must be provided by the start of the classes,
- other documents issued in a language other than Polish should also have a sworn translation into Polish or English, or a translation should be certified by a Polish consul. If translated into English, a sworn translation into Polish must be submitted by the beginning of classes.
- Scan of a document certifying your knowledge of the language of instruction at the B2 level,

How to apply for admission to studies:
- Create an account on the recruitment portal and complete your candidate profile.
- Apply for the chosen course of study.
- Upload the required documents and an electronic passport photograph,
- Pay recruitment fee to the individual bank account number provided in your candidate profile and upload the payment confirmation.
After completing these steps, expect to receive a message about the results of the recruitment process. This will appear on your individual account on the recruitment portal.
What to prepare once you have your admission details:
- The original foreign diploma bearing an apostille / with legalization – for verification,
- The original diploma Supplement or Assessment Transcript bearing an apostille / with legalization – for verification,
- Sworn translation of the original foreign diploma bearing apostille / with legalization – for verification,
- Sworn translation of the original diploma Supplement or Assessment Transcript bearing apostille / with legalization – for verification,
- The original document certifying knowledge of the language of instruction at the B2 level – for verification,
- Proof of valid health insurance in Poland – for verification,
- a foreigner going to study in Poland should have a document confirming possession of a health insurance policy or the European Health Insurance Card for the given academic year, or coverage of general health insurance according to the provisions of the Act of 27 August 2004 on health care services financed from public funds, or confirmation of coverage by the insurer of coverage of treatment costs in the territory of the Republic of Poland.
- A visa, residence card or another document entitling you to stay in the territory of the Republic of Poland – for verification,
- the university issues a document confirming your admission to full-time studies that allows you to apply for a visa or another document confirming the right to stay in Poland).
- One passport photograph (3.5cm x 4.5cm format) meeting the criteria specified on the website: https://www.gov.pl/web/gov/zdjecie-do-dowodu-lub-paszportu,
- A printed confirmation of the enrolment fee payment generated as a PDF file by your bank,
- Passport or ID card – for verification,
Submit the aforementioned documents to the Academy of Silesia (43 Rolna Street, 40-555 Katowice) by the specified deadline to confirm your willingness to study by signing the agreement for the provision of educational services.
The agreement may be signed electronically (via Autenti/electronic qualified signature) on the condition that the original documents are presented beforehand.
Medical Certificate
A candidate admitted to studies is required to submit an original medical certificate containing an opinion that there are no contradictions to study at a selected field of study. The medical certificate must be obtained after performing a preliminary medical examination based on a referral issued by the International Cooperation Department. The certificate must be issued on a form containing a reference to the provisions of the regulation of the Minister of Health from 26 August 2019 on medical examinations for secondary and higher education institutions and vocational qualifying courses, for the students of these schools, participants of vocational qualifying courses, and Ph.D., students, must specify the candidate's suitability to study at the medical field of study as well as the expiration date of the certificate.
The candidate independently chooses the location of the occupational health examination and covers the cost of the examination. Immediately after completing the mandatory examination, the original medical certificate must be submitted to the appropriate Dean’s Office.
